10 Wellness Gift Ideas

For the Holiday Season

The holiday season brings lots of opportunity to give and receive meaningful, useful gifts for the years to come. Below lists 10 wellness-related gift ideas that are either items on my wish list, or things I love and use myself.

1. Face Contouring Tools

The Skinny Confidential’s face and body contouring tools have flooded my wishlist this year with items such as the Ice Roller and Face Massager. As a fan of The Skinny Confidential Blog and Him and Her Podcast, I am drawn to Lauryn Bosstick’s brand specifically. However, there are more affordable alternatives including the Skin Gym’s CryoRoll Ice Facial. These facial tools may have benefits including stimulating blood circulation and de-puffing.

2. Guided Journals

The Giving Book, guided journal

Guided journals are a great reflection tool to gift this holiday season. I personally have loved The Giving Book, which is a guided journal that taps into self-love, relationships and personal growth. The author, Elias Baar, also offers The Anger Book and The Sadness Book in his collection of guided journals. Another option for a guided journal are daily journals, such as the popular Five Minute Journal by Intelligence Change.

3. Brianna Wiest Books

This is How you Heal by Brianna Wiest

Brianna Wiest is one of my favorite authors at the moment. Her books 101 Essays that will Change your Life and When you’re Ready, This is How you Heal, are a collection of essays that are easily digestible and inspiring to read. I could not recommend these books enough and cannot wait to discover more of her work.

4. Comfortable Walking Shoes

New Balance Womens 327 shoes

Comfortable shoes for walking and everyday life are vital to support joints and promote proper alignment. I was recently gifted the New Balance Women’s 327 Shoes in black and white which are one of the most comfortable, supportive everyday shoes I have owned. I did size down in this style by a half a size, so if gifting these shoes take sizing down into consideration.

5. Quality Water Bottle

Stanley 30 oz cream

A quality water bottle is a necessity in everyones life. Some popular brands of water bottles today are Stanley, Simple Modern, Hydro Flask, and Yeti. I personally own a Stanley in the 30 oz size which I prefer as its handle hangs overtop rather than on the side.

6. Mindful Affirmation Cards

Mindful affirmation cards by Intelligence Change offer 52 cards of affirmations in that are to be used every week and presented on the included bench stand. These card decks come in different categories including original, love, health, finance and kids to suit life stages and priorities. These affirmations are on my wishlist this year as a way to improve positive thoughts and self encouragement.

7. Blue Light Glasses

In the modern digital age, with many of us often exposed to screens, blue light blocking glasses may be of great use to many. Blue light glasses are definitely on my list this year to improve sleep regulation when utilizing screens at night (an often occurrence for college students).

Dr. Andrew Huberman explains on The Kevin Rose Show that blue light is necessary for humans early and throughout the day, specifically naturally from daylight, therefore it is not suggested by Dr. Huberman to wear blue light glasses before nighttime. However, using blue light blocking glasses is said to be beneficial when using screens late at night.

I personally have been looking into brands such as DIFF Eyewear for blue light blocking glasses but be sure to do your own research. Anyone with recommendations feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of this post.

8. Silk Pillow Case

I have used Slip silk pillow cases for awhile now and have anecdotally noticed not only a difference in my skin, but also my comfort while sleeping. Slip silk pillow cases claim to improve skin texture and hair maintenance. I personally love silk pillow cases and think they would be a great gift this holiday season.

9. Foam Roller

Foam rollers are a great gift for any athlete or gym rat on your list. I love my Double Roller from Lulu Lemon to roll out my legs and back after a tough workout or long day. The interior roller helps to roll out my back while the exterior roller is great for thigh, hamstring and calf muscles. Foam rollers can help with muscle pain, inflammation, recovery and relaxation.

10. Bala Bangles

Bala Bangles are on my list this year which are wrist or ankle weights which can be used during pilates, walking and working out at home. Specifically, Bala Bangles are known for being high quality and comfortable, making a great gift this holiday season.
